Official Rules and
Regulations
1. All
Interpretations and Final decisions to be made
by President and Board of directors.
2. All
contestants must pay entry fee and have live
wells checked. Starting time will not be delayed
due to late arrivals, all late arrivals must
find a club official, pay entry fee and have
live wells checked before fishing.
3. All boats
should be on the water and ready to start at
least 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time.
4. Sportsmanship,
courtesy, safety and conservation is expected
from each participant. All alcoholic beverages
are prohibited.
5. The Lawrence
County Bass Club will not be held responsible
for any loss of, or damage to property as a
result of participating in a club tournament or
club function.
6. Only casting,
fly spinning, or spin cast rods and reels may be
used. Only one rod and reel may be used at any
one time. Trolling is not permitted.
Artificial lures
and or pork baits only.
7. Fishing is
permitted any place on the tournament water
according to state, local, Federal and
lake rules. Fishing is not permitted within 20
yards of another contestants anchored
boat. Contestants cannot leave the boat to land
a fish.
8. No locking
thru to another pool is permitted.
9. Tournament
winners will be decided by total weight of legal
fish minus any penalties. Only Largemouth,
Smallmouth, and Spotted (Kentucky) bass will be
weighed in. Length of fish will be determined by
each lake limit. Where allowed 12 inch spotts
will be legal. Penalties will be 1lb. or short
fish and that fish not weighed. A 8 oz. (.50)
penalty for each dead fish. Courtesy check will
be permittited.
10. A contestants
largest fish minus any penalties pertaining to
that fish, will decide “Big Bass”.
11. All ties will
be handheld in the following manner, First ,by
largest fish, second by the flip of a coin.
12. A tournament
limit is five fish per member.
13. All fish must
be kept separate or cull tags used to separate
each members fish. All fish must be brought to
the scale in separate bags or have cull tags
attached.
14. All club
members under the age of 18 must have Parent or
Guardians permission to participate in the club.
Any Youth or member with a physical condition
that qualifies for the Classic must fish with
the person or persons they have fished with thru
out the year or a volunteer.
15. The
tournament directors, before each tournament,
will set a”safe zone” . It shall be the
responsibility of each boater to have his
partner at the departure dock on time for check
out time. A contestant must not allow any fish
caught by him to be counted on the score of
another contestant. In such case, both
contestants will be Kicked Out of the Club.
Members may fish
alone if they choose to, but should be prepared
to launch and retrieve boat on their own. No
late fish will be weighed in, all contestants
must be in safe zone by set time or be
disqualified.
16. Tournament
entry fee is $20.00 per person, divided as
follows:
$5.00 to club
$5.00 to 1st place
$3.00 to 2nd place
$2.00 to 3rd place
$5.00 to Big Bass
Sponsor money
will be paid , if available, divided as follows:
Half
Tournament
Full Tournament
$20.00 to 1st
$40.00 to 1st
$15.00 to 2nd
$30.00 to 2nd
$10.00 to 3rd
$20.00 to 3rd
17. Club dues
shall be $20.00 per member per year. Anyone who
attains the age of 60 before January 1st
of the tournament year will not be required to
pay club dues.
18.All protests
and discrepancies must be dealt with and
resolved at the tournament site, and on the
tournament day.
19. The
“Classic” tournament will consist of the top
Nineteen(19)in points if available,
and qualified club members, and previous club
Champion. All members must meet Classic
qualifications.
20. All
tournament waters are off limits 12 twelve hours
prior to the start of any tournament.
21. Points will
be awarded for the top fifty (50) individuals
total weight per tournament:
50 points for 1st
place
49 points for 2nd
place
48 for 3rd
place, on down to 50th place
10 points for per
tournament (show up points)
1 point per pound
awarded to individual per tournament
22. A Trophy,
Jacket ,and an automatic entry into next years
Classic will be awarded to the overall points
winner. said winner must attend seven 7 function
to remain editable for honorary classic entry.
Atrophy will be awarded to 2nd& 3rd
place winners. In order to be eligible for year
end awards a member must attend at least seven
functions for the year. Functions being the
January, February, and March meetings, the ten
regular tournaments or club Charities functions.
Husband and wife
awards are separate from year end
qualifications.
23. It is the
responsibility of all club members to try to
establish tournament sponsors for the year.
24.A member must
attend each function to receive credit for that
function.
25All members must
attend, (show up) and pay entry Fee to receive
credit for that function.
